MuseTribes Debuts for
the Muse User and Developer Online Community
MILLBRAE, CALIFORNIA
- June 10, 2002 - As a follow up to the launch on May
17th of the Muse development platform and Muse Lite
application, Muse Communications (www.musecorp.com)
announced today the launch of the Muse user and developer
community web site, MuseTribes. (www.musetribes.com)
MuseTribes is
an online community web site designed specifically for
community interaction, the sharing of Muse content and
exchange of ideas. Core MuseTribes features include
user forums, developer support and Muse content downloads.
These are critical community features as Muse developers
begins to create their own custom, 3D Muse sites with
their own multi-media and shared web pages.
Already, new Muse
site templates, ereps (i.e. avatars) and user generated
forum topics have begun to appear on the site. In the
near future, a Quake 3 BSP loader—for importing Quake
3 levels into the Muse environment—will be released,
thus enabling developers to create custom Muse sites
based on Quake 3 levels that they design.
“We are very excited
to launch this vital piece in the Muse community network,”
said Gavin Cheng, founder and lead designer for Muse
Communications, “With the launch of MuseTribes the hope
is that the Muse development community will start to
grow organically and become an exciting forum for the
exchange of ideas, thus contributing to the expansion
of the Muse network.”
