Shopping Demo

Muse Galleria
This demo provides a selection of examples that represent multi-user shopping experiences for the next generation online retail shopper. In the following demo, the 7 sites demonstrate different types of online shopping metaphors.

The Galleria 'Lobby'
depicts a media rich shopping mall entrance to the other 6 shops. From the Lobby, the other shops are accessible via a center pop-up menu or by clicking on the storefronts. Keyboard controls are also available for those that want to move around the space and chat with others. The pop-up menu acts as a link to all the shopping sites. If you click the site tab that you are currently visiting, you are automatically zoomed back to the original default position.

The Amazon site
demonstrates simple repurposing of web content into a 3D, multi-user space. Here, users can meet and shop together, providing a visually rich and exciting web experience. Here, users click on the various Amazon links seen spread out in a 3D environment. Each Amazon product section is given its own area within the site and thus presents the Amazon content in one clean and easy space. After choosing a section, the user is presented with 3 live web pages related to that section. This allows for a quick and intuitive layout and convenient comparison-shopping. You will also notice cubes in the Amazon site. These are inactive but used to demonstrate advertising in a 3D space.

The E-Traveler site
explores the concept of planning travel alongside friends and companions online. It demonstrates a portal where users can experience video, surf web pages, view targeted advertising, and plan trips together.
Click on the start screen to proceed. Try clicking on the orange icons to open up multiple web pages to view comparison travel sites. The destinations around the site offer videos and mock travel packages. The figurines within the site also offer different navigation angles in which to view airport information screens.

The Electronica site
demonstrates yet another engaging method of presenting merchandise to the consumer. In this example, users can choose products via a 3D model menu. Once a category is chosen, the user is taken through steps to find their ideal product choice. This process incorporates 3D movement and rich graphic surroundings. The life like selection process incorporates both visual product representations and the quick access of dynamic information. To begin, click on the laptop and follow the intuitive selection process from there (other products are not activated for this demo).

The Gap site
provides another example of an enhanced online retail site. This store utilizes rich media advertising and stunning 3D movement to offer a fun multi-user shopping experience. This demo does not directly promote any products or media contained herein. It serves only as a demonstration of Muse applications.
Only objects that highlight when passed over are activated in this site. Begin by clicking on the woman's picture above the word "WOMEN." Next, click on the picture above the word "Ts." All of the shirts are selectable so try clicking on any one of them. Try changing the shirt's color by clicking the different color boxes in the center of the screen. Click on "try it on model" to show a 3D avatar wearing your shirt selection.

The Muse Media Center
presents a stunning new metaphor for online media purchase. In a Muse powered media store, users can now watch movie trailers, listen to samples of new music, purchase tickets to events, and share the experience with friends.
To begin, click on the booths and again on the media presented inside them. You will notice icon controls within the booths to select media, navigate, pause media, view a mock purchase screen and product information. The 3 listening booths in this site consist of a music CD booth, a DVD trailer booth, and a music video booth. The booth on the far left represents a ticket purchasing space that incorporates a shared web page for online ordering. All booths represent a place for shoppers to listen, watch and buy media with one another.
