Collaboration
Demo
The
Collaboration demo illustrates an online conference
scenario, utilizing the collaborative capabilities
of the Muse platform. In this demo, Muse's synched
media and multi-user features deliver real world
meeting and conference services. Here, presenters
have the ability to share PowerPoint slides, live
web pages, video, audio, and various images with
numerous participants. In a 3D environment, sharing
information becomes a simple, effective and visually
rich experience.
Reception Area
The
Collaboration demo commences in the Reception
area. At the reception, users check for messages,
view time zone information, and move on to join
a conference. Begin the tour by selecting the
"Visitor Information" menu option. At
visitor information, users can check email, register,
and check for posted messages. Try clicking on
the "Web Access" board and again on
the web page to zoom in. This web page is live
but not shared, thus allowing users to securely
check email and surf the net while others are
present.
Proceed
to "World Time and Weather" by clicking
home and selecting it on the menu. Begin by clicking
"show next" to display various time
zones and corresponding city times. On the left,
the weather map shifts to match the weather system
in each given time zone. Finally, click the lower
"exit" bar to shift your position and
click on the "conference area" doors
to proceed to the conference login.
*The
login feature is present to demonstrate restricted

instead proceed to the conference room by clicking
the "ENTER" tab on the middle area of
the doors (select "Load with Binary Extensions").

News and Media Centre demonstrates a few varieties
of Muse media integration. Here, users can surf
multiple live web pages, view a multi-channel
video wall, or experience personal audio and video
media via a simple drag and drop player.
