Muse iServer
The Muse Interactivity
Server (iServer) is the driving force behind the
Muse experience--forging the link between the
Muse client and Muse content.
With the iServer a company
can support a unique corporate presence by offering
a new way to present brand image, products, and
services. The collaborative capabilities of iServer-powered
content drive the growth and retention of live,
online customer communities.
iServers may be used
for the Internet as well as corporate intranets
and extranets, and are designed for companies
looking to deliver enhanced experience and capabilities
to their clients or employees.
Media content in a Muse
powered site is hosted via standard web servers,
while muse iServers handle interaction and multi-user
features. The iServer manages Muse network traffic,
and works with existing web and media servers
to deliver content to the user. Dynamic server
modules can be created to connect to existing
backend systems.
Because of the Muse platform's
open architecture, extensions can be added to
the iServer to increase its functionality and
enable a variety of customized business and entertainment
applications.
Each live Muse powered
site requires its own iserver. The standard muse
iserver allows for several thousand simultaneous
users. For organizations requiring a much larger
simultaneous user capacity, clustering options
are available.
